Jet Lag Life

Does anyone even really know the magical solution to this horrible feeling?
I have been flying all over the world now for the past two years as cabin crew and some days I think I have finally beat it. Give it a few days and BAM there it is again the dreaded 'I cant physically move out of my bed all day' feeling.
Admittedly being twenty-three and quite an active individual helps the jet lag disappear quicker than it does for others.
I am a massive believer in mind over matter, what you tell yourself will reflect your physical and mental well-being.
So a few tips I can offer to those who need help defeating the lag of jet.
1. Rest is very important! Catch up on lost sleep but when you're body is trying to acclimatize back try to keep awake during the day and sleep when it is night- sounds pretty obvious but what I mean is take an hour or two to sleep and regain some energy and push on through till night time to get your body back on track and aligned to the time zone you're in.
2. Water is never a bad thing, this doesn't necessarily help you overcome jet lag but of course jet lag means you have been travelling through different time zones and normally long haul. When you are on an aircraft the air is pressurized and the environment around you is very dry and so it is important to keep hydrated.
3. Exercise may seem a little silly when you feel so tired you cant function but even just getting outside or to the gym for some light cardio this may help give you the boost you need to keep awake. You're body will love you for the free endorphin's.
And if all else fails, COFFEE! Lots and lots of the stuff, or green tea if you want to feel a little more healthy!
